STUDIO wins ASTRA Award for Most Outstanding Marketing Campaign Under $50,000
This award is delivered annually to the most creative and effective consumer marketing campaign to promote a channel identity or program with a total marketing budget of $50,000 or less.
In October 2011, STUDIO created an interactive art installation at the closing night concert of Melbourne Festival to promote the upcoming television broadcast of the event.
Notes from the hard road and beyond was a spectacular tribute to the lives and voices that changed the course of human history and featured performances by the incredible Mavis Staples, Joss Stone and Something for Kate’s Paul Dempsey.
Inspired by the revolutionary atmosphere, STUDIO installed a message wall and invited guests to leave their mark and answer a simple question: I believe…?
This video was a part of the award submission and features Archie Roach’s heart-warming rendition of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ Into My Arms (performed at the concert).
Judges Comment:
The campaign exemplifies what can be done on a small budget. It resonated and interacted with its audience in an emotive, impactful and creative way. STUDIO extended their partnership with The Melbourne Festival and leveraged the other partnerships available to further extend their reach on a limited budget.
